Elliott's original work is in pastels on sanded paper and oils on canvas. His Koi series paintings are powerful, vibrant and capture the drama of nature. Mr. Ciampi was a Prizewinner in The Pastel 100 competition, sponsored by The Pastel Journal, 2002. Pastel Society of the West Coast and California Art Club.
" My current work, “The Koi Paintings”, are a series of work where I have focused my attention on the peace and tranquility of Koi ponds, I am striving to captured the essence of these lovely creatures in their habitat. By observing their color and energy and following the graceful flow of their swirling movement, I am creating dynamic and compelling compositions in this series. The resulting works of art are original and elegant."
